My hubby won some money at work. He came home and gave me half! He said that I should "go buy myself something pretty". My first thought was to put it in my grocery envelope or maybe use it for Christmas gifts. Its extra money. It was neither expected nor budgeted.
Hubby says he knows exactly what he's doing with his half. I have a weird frugal mind. I still want to use it in the budget. He says to have fun. It's not a lot. $50 is all. Why is it so hard for me to go crazy and spend? I think that maybe I might get a new griddle. I've always wanted one. They are on sale.
Then maybe a chair massage at Whole Foods. Maybe Starbucks? Writing about it is actually getting me excited. Maybe a Goodwill shopping spree......
What a wonderful problem to have. I had to laugh because I have the same problem when I get gift $$. I'm so darned practical that it's hard to let loose and get something fun for me (fun for the children isn't a problem). I'm interested to see what you come up with...

Judy,
ReplyDeleteHa ha. I'm glad I'm not alone. I ended up getting an electric griddle, I've always wanted one and they were on sale for $19.98. It can take forever to make pancakes when you have to cook one at a time! I'm so excited to try it out.
I also went to Michaels and bought supplies to make a couple of Christmas gifts. Yes, I had a coupon! Ha ha
I have $10 left, so I think I'm going to Whole Foods and get a 10 minute chair massage. I'll actually get a 9 minute massage, so I can leave a dollar tip.
